About
Architects' Combine was established in Mumbai on 6th February 1956. Five friends from the J.J. School of Architecture, Kamu lyer, Dileep Purohit, Shreekant Mandrekar, Raja Poredi and P.N. Mathur decided to pool their mental resources and experience to start a practice. Raphael David joined as a partner a few years later The firm was a confluence of different backgrounds, cultures and political views. The office grew a 'studio culture' in which people in a design team worked as equals, sharing ideas, discussing differentpossibilities and giving shape to those ideas. The current partners at our firm, Chandroo lyer, Pratik Sheth, Prateek Banerjee and Abhijeet Doshi continue to take forward this six-decade old 'culture of the studio that never ceases to change and grow. Our firm celebrated 68 years of practice in February 2024 and we have completed over 1,100 projects of varying typologies including Educational and Institutional complexes, Healthcare facilities, Housing schemes, Industrial buildings, Office buildings, Residences and Interiors.
We deliver user-specific design solutions. Our projects range from designing small guest houses to large educational and industrial complexes. Each client/user has unique requirements and our structures reflect that. Research, analysis and thorough planning form an integral part of the design process for every project Professional approach - Our projects are within budget and time frames set by our clients and a large number of our projects are from repeat clients
