(Formerly Aangan Architects) was instituted in April 2001 with a motive of creating sensible and responsive design in fields related to built environment. Vishal Shah the Founder Partner and Vishal Desai, Partner are heading the firm with Niti Shah & Prathama Desai providing and edge to Planning and Interior Design respectively.
Presently the firm is dealing into Residential and Institutional Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design, Landscape and project Management with its presence in 30 cities across India. Members of the organization are also actively involved in academics and collaborate with like-minded firms. With a competitive outlook and creativity and innovation at the heart of the design philosophy of Aangan, the firm has won more than 40 National and International awards for excellence in architecture and design.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Design philosophy of the firm metaphorically represents the word ÁANGAN’, where it facilitates the decision making for the client to transit to a better living environment. The methodology of AANGAN strives to promote innovative and alternative thinking amongst all involved in design and promote sustainable practice from conceptual stage. The working methodology of Aangan is client centric with rooted innovation, complimented by transparency in processes and efficient working where time is an important essence.
