About us
For over 25 years, Thakkar Associates have been providing custom designed, appropriate and sustainable solutions for a wide range of buildings and structures. The material used includes rubble stone as well as dressed stone from various parts of India, load bearing brick masonry, reinforced concrete, steel, dressed and composite masonry
Our designs include high end residences, villas and farmhouses, apartment blocks, row houses. As a part of our commitment to providing better quality shelters to everyone across the population spectrum, we have designed and monitored the construction of over 600 earthquake resistant dwellings in three districts of Gujarat after the devastating earthquake of January 2001.
We have designed interior spaces for flag bearers of the Indian corporate sector like Larsen & Toubro Limited and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Our client list also includes transnational companies like Swarovski Group (headquartered in Austria) and JTI International Inc (USA) who have established their plants and offices in India.
We are proud of the fact that educational institutions of national importance like the Indian Institutes of Management Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Kashipur, National Institute of Design and Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar have been our clients. Thakkar Associates have a fully staffed office in Ahmedabad. We are capable of providing complete building design services and solutions from preliminary sketch designs to construction drawings. For better coordination of the total design and to facilitate monitoring them during execution, building services such as HVAC, electrical services and low voltage application designs are provided through associates who also have established practices in their respective disciplines, if the project and the client needs so require.
