About THE GRID Architects
Founded in 2002, tHE gRID Architects is a Research & design studio based in Ahmedabad, India, founded by Bhadri Suthar and Snehal Suthar. Their practice reflects a deep sensitivity to human-nature relationships, aligned by ecological awareness and contextual relevance. They actively contribute to academia as visiting faculty and jury members at design institutions. Spanning architecture, interiors, landscape, and furniture, their approach draws from vernacular knowledge while engaging with contemporary practice. The studio also pursues experimental projects, Research, and Design explorations to contribute to meaningful trajectories in architecture and inspire future generations. The future of architecture lies in empathy, humanity, and a deep connection between people, nature, and the built environment. We don’t need star architects; we need architects who design selflessly, focusing on purpose, tradition, and context. Truly great architecture isn’t about appearances but about its relationships—with its surroundings, society, and nature.
