ABOUT VMA
Incepted in 2013 by Vakul Mittal, Pankaj Malik, and Vikram Malik company (Planners Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.) operated under the brand name of the renowned architecture firm Planners Group, one of the oldest firms in Chandigarh founded in 1972. The expertise of great mentors, faithful partners, and a highly skilled team earned the firm a remarkable reputation across the country.

In 2020 the company was rebranded to VMA Architects with the leadership shift in the hands of Ar. Vakul Mittal and Ar. Vinod Mittal. They formulated a vision of thoughtful design and undying finesse for VMA Architects. The strong support of Ar. Vinod Mittal further widened the breadth of pooled knowledge and design expertise. Our practice today carries a diverse portfolio in villas, housing, township, commercial, retail, automobile, healthcare, and institutional architecture. A personalized and collaborative approach has helped build long-standing relations with our clients.

The firm's transcendent journey has shaped its ideologies and beliefs. They form the core strength and medium for unraveling the long journey ahead. Our DNA is synthesized of two diligent words -Thoughtful. & Design. Thoughtful. ‘Wholesomeness of the design process in harmony with details’ Design. ‘Creativity of having infinite possible solutions to a problem’ These words represent a comprehensive approach to developing one-of-a-kind design strategies that prioritize the design narrative and the site context. Our philosophy emphasizes excellence, engagement, enthusiasm, and empathy.

At VMA, all projects go through a rigorous process of Thoughtful Design (Our DNA) producing spaces with meaningful experiences for users. We do so with absolute focus on the client's needs/expectations, contextual enhancement, and prudent built performance which helps us to walk through thought-provoking ideations. Our goal is to explore new solutions and strive for intellectual curiosity to create places that define the future of design.

VAKUL MITTAL
Ar. Vakul Mittal is a graduate of 2010 from Manipal University, India, and holds a Master's degree in Urban Design from Cardiff University, UK. He carries substantial international experience having worked with the world’s top architecture firms viz Chapman Taylor Bristol(UK), Piramit Mimarlik Istanbul. His focus on bringing urban sustainable solutions to new emerging and existing cities manifests in his work. He believes in delivering a design that is informed, purposeful, innovative, and compelling. Along with his astonishing work, he is also a keen academician and a writer. He has participated as a speaker and panelist (panel discussions) in most recognized national events/conferences. He has also been a Juror, visiting faculty for the final year design studio with Chandigarh College of Architecture. With a robust skill set that includes Urban Design, Mixed-use, Urban Regeneration, Architecture, Sustainability, Site Planning, Green Building, Construction Drawings and more, he contributes valuable insights to the industry.
